They offer Associate-O-Matic Lite free of charge with some limitation and also will take 10% of the income generated.

It's important to remember a couple of things Associate-O-Matic is just the framework for the application.
It's also one of the revenue streams. You can add for instance Google adsense or Commission Junction ads to your site adding to the potential revenue.
